Christmas-Journey to the town
„Where the Christ-child lives …”
Program-Proposal:
1st Day
When you arrive at the Christmas-town Steyr you will be put into the
right mood for Christmas with the “Turmblasen”
(advent trumpet concert at the town square).
After the check-In at our **** HOTEL & RESTAURANT MINICHMAYR
we welcome you at the “Flösserplatzl” in front of the hotel
with a glass of mulled wine and fruit loaf.
Meanwhile you can enjoy the unique view at the historic city centre,
the castle Lamberg and at the confluence of the rivers Enns and Steyr.
In the evening we serve a typical Upper-Austrian specialities-menu
at the hand-carved “Flösserstube”, which you will enjoy definitely.
2nd Day
After a rich breakfast you will learn everything worth knowing about
the Christmas-town, on a guided Kripperl-Roas.
Then you visit the 1st Austrian Christmas-museum with more than
10.000 pieces of ancient Christmas-tree-decoration.
In the afternoon the bus will bring you to the pilgrimage church Christkindl. There at the special post-office you can send your Christmas-post
o your relatives and friends.
A visit of the “Mechanical crib” and of the ”Pöttmesser crib”
is absolutely worthwhile.
Finally you visit Steinbach, where the village square becomes an
Advent calendar and daily at 5.00 p.m. a new window will be opened.
Enjoy the evening with a glass of wine and a tasty Christmas-Dinner
at our beautiful Panoramarestaurant to the rivers
in a special romantic atmosphere.
3rd Day
We say good-bye to you and hope you will come back soon.
